The Major Celebrations Happens Every Year..

 

 Hindu festivals such as Ugadi, Sree rama Navami, Dipavali (Diwali), Vijaya dhasami ( Durga Puja ) bring villagers together. Even Muslims may join in the friendly splashing of colored water on fellow villagers in Spring Holi revelries, which involve village wide singing, dancing, and joking.

The major events that happens every year are – >

Sree veera Brahmendra swamy tirunala – is festival of honoring “Sree veera brahmendra swamy”, celebrates in the month of may every year.

For Ugadi – It is the first festival in hindu religion’s fiscal year. On the day, village brahmin keeps ugadi pickle at every door step across all the houses in the village..

For Vinayaka Chavithi – Waking up in the early morning and getting up the “pathrika” from the agricultural fields is a usual choice for the children instead of buying at some stores like doing it in the towns and cities to pray for god “Vinayaka”.

On the day of Sree rama navami, villagers celebrates “Sree sita ramula vaari kalyanam” and the 16th day celebrations after that.

 

 

For Vijaya dasami – Villagers live in 9 day ( Navarathrulu ) festive mood and every evening village wide singing happens at small tulsi plants made by them called as “bathukamma”, by treating them as goddess Sree Vijaya durga ..

For Ramzan – A festival celebrated about a month by muslim community by fasting throughout every day from sun rise to sun set in the ramzan month.

For Peerlu festival (Muharram) – This festival is of honoring the “Mohammad Pravakta” by muslims, Even Hindus also participate in festivities. Muharram is the first month in the islamic calender, figting is prohibited in this month.

For Dipavali ( Diwali ) – Almost everybody in the village involves in lighting up the candles, firing crakers…etc..

For Christmas : A festival for the Christians in the village, celebrates with longest prayers in the churches on behalf of birth of jesus on December 25th.

For Sankranti ( Pongal ) – In ZPH School of the village, Sports event happens on Makara Sankranthi day. It includes “cycle slow and fast races” to “Rangoli Art Games (muggula potilu)” and in the evening, prize distribution happens at empty tower of lord shiva temple. Almost everybody, who is staying out of the village meet in the village on this particular event.

Earlier stage shows ( dramas ) were happening on this particular event.

For Shiva Rathri – In the night of shiva rathri, almost everybody do fasting without sleep throughout ( jaagaaram ) the night, and prey for god.

There are even more celebrations happens – Marriages, functions, every Friday evening namaaz at mosque by muslims and every Sunday prayers at churches by Christians.
